All clinical staff undergo enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, regular clinical supervision, annual appraisals, and continuing professional development (CPD). Clinical work is carried out in line with NICE guidelines and national best practice standards.

We operate with a strict Zero Tolerance Policy for abusive, threatening, inappropriate or intoxicated behaviour. Any violations will result in withdrawal of services and may be reported to authorities where appropriate.

Our Continuity of Care Policy states that if 30 or more days have passed since a patient’s last appointment and no follow-up has been arranged, the patient may be discharged and placed back on the waiting list. Patients returning after prolonged absence may require full reassessment before clinical recommendations or prescriptions can resume. Clinical responsibility only applies to clients with an active care plan. We prioritise communication with active patients and hold no liability for delayed or non-response to individuals not under active treatment.

Prescriptions are issued only during formal consultations and at the psychiatrist’s clinical discretion. Repeat prescriptions requested outside appointments will be chargeable. Controlled medication is issued to a nominated pharmacy and not to private addresses. Prescription fulfilment and pricing are the responsibility of the dispensing pharmacy.

All patient records are maintained in accordance with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Records are retained for at least 8 years following the last point of contact, or until age 25 for minors. Data is stored securely with appropriate technical safeguards and access controls.

A formal complaints procedure is in place and accessible via our website. Patients are encouraged to provide feedback. Safeguarding policies are applied to all children and adults at risk, and are based on statutory guidance including the Children Act 1989/2004 and the Care Act 2014.
